The University of Mohaghegh Ardabili was established in 1978 originally as a branch of Tabriz University. Owing to its successful educational and research development plans, the university managed to secure a high rank among regional universities. The achievements of this university in the area of research are evident from the prolific publications and the national prizes awarded for research activities. The university enjoys a suitable ratio of the number of academic staff to the number of students amongst the universities within the country. We have launched academic collaboration with some international universities that promises a more efficient role in the local, national and international development. Currently, with its four schools at the main campus and three other affiliated schools, located in Namin, Meshgin Shahr and Moghan, the University is taking advantage of more than 100 full-time faculty members. About 2875 students in 87 different fields are pursuing their studies in this university.
