Holding the Second International Conference on Challenges and Strategies for Sustainable Tourism Management Development
According to the university's public relations report, Dr. Kazem, the deputy secretary for management and resources development of Ardabil Governorate, stated on October 10, at the second international conference on challenges and strategies for sustainable tourism development management at Mohaghegh Ardabili University, stating that technology has advanced today and has changed the quantity and quality of leisure time, and said: Today, the tourism industry has grown rapidly, and in other words, the current era can be called the era of tourism.
He added: Considering the tourism potential of the country and the province, it can be said with confidence that Iran is among the top 10 countries and Ardabil is among the top 6 provinces in the country in the field of tourism.
The deputy secretary for management and resources development of Ardabil Governorate, stating that Ardabil province has high capacities and potentials in the field of tourism, stated: The province's hot mineral waters are also unique in the world.
Referring to the selection of Ardabil as the tourism capital of ECO member countries in 2023, he noted: In recent days, when the ambassadors of these countries were present in Ardabil, they acknowledged the high tourism capacity of the province.
The deputy for management and resource development of the Ardabil governorate emphasized the need to create trust among the people about the tourism industry and said: We must also use the winter snow to attract tourists to Ardabil province in an efficient way.
Referring to the allocation of several thousand billions of rials for the Ardabil railway project over the past two years, he stated: The government has also made every effort to provide infrastructure in the field of tourism.
Dr. Jabraeel Razmjoo, deputy director of research and technology at Mohaghegh Ardabili University, stated that tourism is one of the important economic pillars in the world today and said: Currently, tourism plays a major role in the world and the main source of income for many countries is the tourism economy.
Stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Ardabil Province have valuable natural and God-given resources, he added: Sabalan Mountain and its tourist attractions, hot mineral waters, Shorabil Lake, etc. are important tourist attractions that should be used to their full potential.
He emphasized the need to build a culture in the field of tourism and added: We should also pay attention to the fact that retaining tourists is more important than attracting them.
The Vice President for Research and Technology of Mohaghegh Ardabili University, stating that today this university is among the leading universities in the country and the world in terms of science, stated: Attracting foreign students is on the university's agenda in order to realize scientific diplomacy and strengthen scientific authority, and today more than a thousand foreign students from different countries are studying at this university, the blessings of which will be evident for Mohaghegh Ardabili University and Ardabil Province in the coming years.
He stated that a foreign student, when he enters the university, is present at the university for about 4 years, and continued: If each foreign student writes just one scientific article during his academic period, after a few years we will witness a significant increase in the university's scientific production.
The Vice President for Research and Technology of Mohaghegh Ardabili University added: The material effects of the presence of foreign students in the university and the province are already evident, and its scientific effects will be evident in the next 4 years according to the university ranking rules.
Engineer Hassan Mohammadi Adib, Director General of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Ardabil Province, also stated that Ardabil is the host of the Ardabil Tourism Capital of ECO member countries event, and said: This event has further introduced the province's tourism capacities beyond the country's borders.
Stating that we witnessed the presence of ambassadors from ECO member countries, the Black Sea Basin, and China in Ardabil at this event, he added: The province's cultural heritage, handicrafts, and tourism are in step with Mohaghegh Ardabili University, and it is hoped that we will be able to witness the flourishing and presentation of the province's tourism roadmap through the output of this scientific conference.
Dr. Bahram Imani, the head of the Second International Conference on Challenges and Solutions for Sustainable Tourism Development Management, also stated that 200 articles were submitted for this conference, of which 158 were accepted.
It is worth noting that the books on tourism excellence, written by Hojjatoleslam Walmuslim Mohammad Shiralipour, Imam of Friday prayers in Sarein and lost employment; Challenges and solutions for development with stray capital, written by Mansour Nouri, manager of the Rezvan Hotel in Sarein, were unveiled.
Also, Dr. Morteza Tale, head of the National Foundation for Sustainable Tourism Development, Professor Philippe Bordeaux, professor at the University of Grenoble Alpes, France, Dr. Ali Rahimizad, deputy head of the Ardabil Regional Water Company, were keynote speakers, and Jafar Bazri, head of the Ardabil Province Accommodation Centers Association, Mohammad Reza Astani, head of the Ardabil Province Health, Wellness and Hydrotherapy Centers Association, Alireza Ghane, head of the Ardabil Province Travel Offices and Services Association, and Dr. Seyed Sadeq Hosseini, representative of Ardabil Province Tourism Guides, were speakers at the specialized sessions of the conference.
